I am a veteran and had heard that this restaurant is also owned by a veteran, so I wanted to show my support with a positive review. However, I can't give it 5 stars. Most places include the ABV (alcohol by volume) on the menu, but they do not. While I don't mind paying a little more, it would be helpful to see the prices listed. I tried a stout and an IPA, but I wasn't very impressed. The beers were too strong for my taste, with a pronounced alcohol flavor rather than hops. I may give it another chance in the future and reconsider my rating, as a visit on a different night could result in a better experience.
Wasn't really that impressed with the beer to be honest, full disclosure I only tried one. As others have said the service could be better as well, waited a good while before anyone came over. Might have just went on a crazy night. I tried a recommendation and it was too much overkill on the hops for my taste. Left a bad aftertaste that I am not used to with a craft beer. To be fair I will go again and reevaluate this review to see if it improves.
We desperately wanted to support Crafted Culture Brewing, so we finally made it happen last Friday. When you walk into the taproom I couldn't see much changed from Kindred, but no worries because the space is well lit and welcoming. In good weather the garage doors are wonderful. It was of course in the dead of winter when we visited, so we didn't want any doors to open. We wanted to keep the heat inside. One of the bartenders greeted us immediately as we settled into two seats at the bar. We let him know it was our first visit. He laughed and pointed around the bar saying there are so many like that tonight. So there must have been lots of first timers. That is good for Crafted Culture, what is even better is if those folks come back repeatedly. The bartender showed us the QR code you can scan to get up to date beer menus via Untapped. My eyes were immediately drawn to the Waffle Sauced Maple Pecan Imperial Brown Ale. My husband ordered a pint of the 2421 Hope Stack Lane Stout. We toasted each other and took a swig. We both were impressed with our beers. They were tasty. I would have appreciated a little more chewiness with both, they were slightly on the thin side, but the flavors were delicious. So good, we ended up staying for a second beer. I was impressed with what they are brewing at Crafted Culture. By the time we left a food truck had opened for business right outside the door. I think the truck is parked permanently outside the brewery, but they were not open when we arrived at Crafted Culture. Not to detract from the review but I did want to note a couple of additional things. They do not offer flights of their beer. They do not offer have free wifi for their guests. The biggest drawback for me is that I wish they were more environmentally conscious. I would like to see them discontinue the use of the colorful plastic straws everywhere. I would also like them to serve the Jack Daniel's drink in a glass. It hurt seeing so many guests ordering a Jack Daniels cocktail in that looked like an adult capri sun with a colorful plastic straw in it. That beverage could be responsibly served in a glass as opposed to a clear plastic over sized ziploc made to look like a capri sun. If they served it in a glass it would make way less plastic waste. I truly hope the owners of Crafted Culture take this comment to heart. Everything we do now makes a difference.
So cool here! The bartender was very knowledgable and friendly. Beers were pretty good!! Cozy and airy space. If in the area again i would return!
An excellent spot for cocktails and to soak in the atmosphere!
