El Tepache Mexican Grill - Gainesville

My husband and i came to eat here a couple days ago, For the first time. As good as the food was, Sadly I won’t be going back. Our food took forever to get to our table. We got just my fajitas after about 45 mins since we ordered Then waited almost 20 minutes for more food to come it still wasn’t all of the food. All the while they were absolutely hugging and treating their (From what i can assume since they all knew each others names and were hugging. regulars fantastically. Our margaritas had literal blocks of ice in them and they were so thick we couldn’t drink them. Our waitress barely ever came to our table since she was chatting and we never even got our chips and salsa. The food was delicious but the service was absolutely terrible. Worst 3 hours i’ve ever had to spend in a restaurant. and still spent 90 bucks.

We came to celebrate my MIL Birthday. This was everyones first time. We will definitely be back again. Everyone loved the food. Our service was amazing! Angel made our night. All of the staff& the manager went above&beyond. We will definitely come back.

My friends and I really enjoyed the food, I have no complaints about being served large portions for my meals. They stayed on point regarding making sure if we were ready, as well as making sure our drinks were not empty. The only thing that really brings my review down is that when we first arrived, the lights were constantly flickering completely off. It just added a rinkydink vibe to the experience. But, I would go back for sure.

This restaurant is 2 mins from my house,and i always like to support my local spots, but I was a little disappointed I stop in around 8 ,I was ignore, then told go to the bar.when I stood there,everyone just looked when I ask can I place an 2 go order.. from behind I just stop an waitress she took my order.. all I wanted was an burrito covered with cheese.. got hm it had tomato sauce.. im allergic to tomatoes.. no I didn't go back because I made it very clear no tomato sauce... but the locals looked happy and they had live music great for an date night.. im not sure I'll stop in again but.. there so convenient..
