Contribuisci feedbackI recently visited the restaurant, Bite of Power, located on University Avenue in Gainesville. Unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. The ambiance of the place was off-putting and not at all inviting. It lacked cleanliness and orderliness, which are fundamental to any dining establishment. The staff members were not welcoming or friendly. In fact, they were quite the opposite. They were disrespectful and exhibited a clear lack of professionalism, which greatly tainted the overall dining experience. What was even more shocking was the behavior of the owner. He was freely using racial slurs, specifically the N-word, despite not being Black himself. This is completely unacceptable and offensive. Furthermore, he was making derogatory comments about the LGBT+ community. Such behavior is not only disrespectful and hurtful, but it also goes against the principles of equality and acceptance that our society strives to uphold. My experience was further soured by the fact that the restaurant seemed to harbor a racist atmosphere, which made me feel extremely uncomfortable. It was clear that respect and acceptance for all individuals, regardless of their race, gender or sexual orientation, were not values held by this establishment. The food service was slow and inefficient. It took a long time for the food to arrive, and when it finally did, it wasn 't even what I had ordered. This was the final straw in what was already a highly disappointing experience. I would not recommend Bite of Power to anyone. This restaurant needs to make serious changes to its staff, management, and overall approach to customer service and respect for diversity.
I recently visited Bite of Power, located on University Avenue near the Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, and I must express my extreme disappointment with the experience.Upon entering, I was immediately greeted with an unpleasant smell that was reminiscent of drainage pipes. It was a stark contrast to the enticing aroma of food one would expect from a restaurant. The state of cleanliness, or rather the lack thereof, was also quite concerning. It was evident that the establishment had not been cleaned thoroughly for quite some time. This lack of hygiene was further highlighted by the condiment bottles at the tables, particularly the ketchup bottle, which appeared to be crusted with an accumulation of old ketchup, suggesting it had not been cleaned for an extended period. My negative experience was not limited to the physical state of the restaurant. The behavior and language of the store owners left a lot to be desired. I was taken aback when I overheard them using derogatory and homophobic slurs. Such offensive language is unacceptable and created an uncomfortable atmosphere for customers. Finally, the service was incredibly slow. The wait time for food was far longer than what one would reasonably expect from a restaurant. This added to the overall disappointing experience.Given these experiences, I cannot recommend Bite of Power. The lack of cleanliness, offensive language, and long wait times have left a bad taste that goes beyond the food.Im asking everyone please don't waste your time and money at this restaurant
Amazing food. Their lamb platter is top tier ? you should definitely come here and the service is
I used to love this place and went there about 2-3 times a week when it was named Naq’s. The new ownership is frugal but to the point where it just looks cheap and not worth it. They’ve reduced portion sizes and charge for basic sauces by labeling it as more customizable. A 18 dollar chicken+lamb salad with minimal protein is not worth it especially when you consider the chipotle on the right. Food quality has also been inconsistent so changes are definitely needed. I’ve ordered delivery 3 times over the last 2 weeks and probably won’t be ordering again until they fix these issues.
I’ve been here a few times, and EVERYTIME it’s literally incredible. Every single person I’ve taken here has said this is some of the best food in GNV. The owners talked to us while we were waiting and even customized my order to my particular liking. They discussed their future plans and god I am SO excited. Get the chicken because it is INCREDIBLE!!!! Love the owners, love their purpose and love their food. Cannot recommend enough. Also open super late (3am! and get the baklava, it really is the best in town
