Poor Richard's - Gainesville

Our family has been visiting Poor Richard's for over 30 years, and we've always enjoyed it. However, since the ownership change, the quality has declined. Last night, we had a reservation for a special occasion with a party of 14, and we were disappointed to find that they had run out of prime rib, which they are famous for. They also didn't have a few other menu items available. I don't see how this place can continue to thrive under the new ownership.

Food was awful and tasteless There were 4 of us and we all said everything was awful Service was great .Chris was our server.He was awesome

Great back in time place to eat legendary restaurant in Gainesville. Very much worth the visit downstairs back bar is casual and service is on point.

We were looking for a good steakhouse and we found a great one. The service, atmosphere, and food was exceptional. I had the prime rib and it was so tender that I could cut it with a fork. My wife had the filet and she thought it was wonderful. When we're in the area that will be one of our go to places.

What a fun experience! The service was excellent, and the food was absolutely delicious. Just make sure to arrive early if you want a table, as it was quite crowded. This place is really popular!
