The service and food were excellent. It was truly a wonderful surprise for Gainesville—what a great experience!

The restaurant really enjoyed; everything was perfect! alexis was our server and was super attentive and charming! the ambiente was stylish and the foods and cocktails were excellent! in any case my favorite place to dinner in gainesville so far. we will definitely return!

Wife and I went for my birthday this evening and left very disappointed. Firstly, immediate upon entry, was asked to remove my hat. As this dinner was a surprise, I personally did not read the dress code. I accepted and removed cap, but I do feel that should have been handled far differently, perhaps by server and with a more kind gesture, but certainly not immediate upon entry. Seating was at a 2 seat table positioned adjacent to a wall, seated in large, awkward leather lounge chairs which sat very awkwardly low for enjoying a meal. Wife started with one of the gin signature drinks, expecting a crisp floral gin beverage. What was received was more “sex on the beach” No biggie, on to the next. Ordered the bone in rib eye med rare Oscar style. My go to with every high end steak joint I’ve been to. There may have been a tea spoon of actual bearnaise and seafood, very miniscule. The steak itself was a great texture, compliments to the dry age, but unfortunately not cooked to temp evenly. Medium rare, and was tough to cut near the mid point of the meat as you moved from center to bone. The mashed potatoes ordered as the side slid between the tines of the forks. Soupy in texture. Wife ordered rack of lamb, received 3 lamb shanks. Prepared to temp, but not provided to serving size. Ended our evening early after this experience, and will not recommend this restaurant to anyone. I truly hope they improve the experience in the future, work on their etiquette with guest entry, and refine their kitchen prep. I will also disclose we sought no credit nor compensation as we expected to pay for our meal. This review is honest. If management would like to reach out, please feel free.
