Gemelli's Italian Market - Gaithersburg

Somehow, I had completely forgotten that Gemellis was right here, even though I was just a block away and visited this mall several times a week. I'm really glad I decided to stop by and grab one of their pizzas. As soon as I walked in, the delicious aroma of Italian flavors and sauces drew me in. Before heading to the deli counter, I was tempted by the shelves of non-perishable items like pasta, olives, and truffles. I ended up with a bag of their Amaretti truffles, and they were definitely worth it. They also had a selection of wines, but I skipped that for now. Eventually, I made it to the pizza counter and ordered the La Dolce Vita pizza, which is featured in my photo. It was topped with mozzarella, sweet peppers, homemade sausage, and fresh basil. The best part was that no single ingredient overpowered the others; just the right balance of flavors that made for a harmonious taste experience. I’ll definitely be returning!

I lived in Chicago for 7 years and had some of the best pizzas you can imagine. Gemellis is strong. I've been here several times since I moved back to Maryland. Try it.

Interesting place with lots of yummy options. The meats are excellent and we enjoyed the cheeses as well. We also picked up a nice bottle of wine for $12 that was very enjoyable. We did not try the pastas but they looked interesting as well.

This place is so good it's almost ridiculous. You're a lucky person if you live nearby. Everything in the authentic combo store is amazing. The Dolce Vita pizza is unbelievable, with just the right balance of interesting flavors. The Italiano sub on soft bread has to be the closest thing to heaven on earth. The groceries are top shelf and you're paying for the finest available. Prepared frozen meals are homemade. The store clearly takes great pride in what it offers, and it's reflected in a very loyal customer base. It's interesting that two of the best places in the country for pizza are within walking distance of each other.

Wow, this restaurant is incredible! The selection of fresh pasta is fantastic, and the frozen homemade foods are even better. We tried the spinach and cheese lasagna, and it was outstanding. The pizza is also excellent, surpassing many specialty pizzerias. With delicious cookies and chocolates available as well, this place is a must-visit!
