Matthew's Grill - Gaithersburg

My family and I dined at the 1st Fairy restaurant for lunch on a special occasion. Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed with the quality of the food and the presentation. Our dishes were served in to-go containers, which were greasy and had plastic threads. It made it impossible for us to enjoy our meal. There was no apology for this and it was not even mentioned that it was due to COVID-19 protocols. We will not be returning to this restaurant again. Additionally, on Sunday, February 27, we had a farewell lunch for our sisters who were leaving for Manila on March 4. The host did not offer a discount when we paid our bill in cash, even though he claimed it had already been factored in. We were disappointed with our overall experience and felt the restaurant should be aware. Thank you for the opportunity to provide this honest critique.

The food at this restaurant is delicious! The service is excellent and the prices are fair. The portions are generously sized. I really enjoyed the Halo-Halo, it was creamy and all the ingredients were fresh.

Great Filipino food, great service. the buffet was the highlight for me, but since covid it is no longer revered, hopefully this can come back.

The quality of their food is very good. I live nearby, so I tried some of their popular items.Beef bistek- It’s a steak with lemon sauce and probably my favorite dish there. I love the quantity and also taste of the steak.Pork bbq- it’s good and well worth the price.Pancit mix noodles with Chicken and shrimp. Did not like it very much and the shrimp tasted weird.Crispy pata fried pork leg, My least favorite dish, It does not have any particular flavor and had a very bad pork smell. It’s also way overpriced according to me.
