Yoyogi Sushi - Gaithersburg

The sus(h)i became a suNO. The Tempura roll we ordered was cold and soggy, the California roll tasted a little sour and my husband and I have an acidic belly. This place used to be great, but something changed. The first time we went there after the pandemic, we were greeted by an rude cashier who told us that orders are only on board. I don't recommend it.

Cheap and decent sushi! There are many options to choose from. I think people expect amazing quality from this place, but at $4-$5 per role I think this is a fantastic place. My personal favorites are the sweet potato roll and the spider roll (soft shell crab). Their other roles like the salmon crunch and vegetable crunch are also quite good. Just note that it is only take-out and online order, so order your food before you drive there!

The Jumbo Tofu is our favorite food to order and their sushi are fresh. Not to see others near sushi shops have more reasonable price than yyogi. They also offer different choices of vegetarian sushi, which may not be available to other stores for such variety. We are often to order vegetarian sushis from this store.

Came for a sushi dinner with fiance and a friend the other night. We all did an online order while sitting on a bench nearby and got it at the window (they're window-only, which I think is a cool way to handle their small shop and COVID concerns! The lady at the window was quick and very nice, our orders were perfect, the menu was diverse and offered everything we could want, and no mistakes were made. Food was shockingly cheap for such good stuff! We walked a bit and found picnic tables around a corner to sit and enjoy it. Between us we went a little nuts and ordered lots of stuff?you could definitely get out for $15 per person, but we wanted to try lots of different things.

This place is great! The rolls I ordered were under $5 each and had large portions of fish. The fish quality is decent, not amazing but better than most places at this price point or a bit higher. They are only doing online orders right now.
