County Line Cafe - Galax

This was my first time dining here, and I must say, the food was excellent and the service was attentive and prompt. I ordered the Carolina BBQ, pinto beans, and cornbread. Everything was well-cooked and perfectly seasoned. The cornbread was fluffy and not greasy, which was delightful. The barbecue was delicious and flavorful—eating here was truly a fantastic experience. Although the restaurant was quite busy when I arrived at 6 PM, I didn’t have to wait for a table, and my server was quick to attend to me. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I would definitely eat here again.

The interior features gray-painted cinder block walls with a few decorations scattered about—it could use a bit of a facelift, but the staff is really friendly and clearly hardworking. I ordered the chicken fillet biscuit with home fries and coffee. The biscuit was exactly what I hoped for in a Southern restaurant, and the potatoes were fantastic. I’m a potato lover—my husband even calls me "spud"—and they were perfection! The prices were reasonable; I got a full meal plus a drink for the same amount I would have paid at McDonald's, but the quality was far superior. I’ll definitely be coming back!
