Absolutely order the soup! I can’t stop thinking about their cream of mushroom soup and fresh bread. It’s incredibly fresh, flavorful, well-balanced, and downright delicious. My fiancé and I visited on a Monday afternoon, and with few dining options available in downtown Galena on that day, we were thrilled to find embe open. The atmosphere has a cozy, upscale dive bar vibe, featuring bench seating, wooden decor, and a couple of TVs. The space is on the smaller side, accommodating about 20-30 people. There was only one staff member present during our visit, and I was truly impressed by her ability to manage everything—she was the host, server, bartender, and manager all in one!

EXCELLENT FOOD!! This is my top choice in Galena. The waitstaff is consistently courteous and attentive, even during busy times when they're handling a lot of customers. The food is outstanding—fresh, well-prepared, and always served with a smile. If they're busy (and they often are), it's definitely worth the wait. Kathy and Charlie truly run a first-class restaurant! Service: Dine-in.
