Very cute old time bar and restaurant in a landmark hotel.
Old world atmosphere and great service. We had the most delicious French Onion Soup and a sandwich. Very relaxing. No loud music. Parking: Place is very popular. Drove around to find parking spot. We shopped for a while. Walked several blocks and then found the restaurant. Then walked back several blocks to car. There are benches on every block to sit if needed.
This restaurant was a disappointment. The food was just okay. We had the chicken cordon bleu and the club sandwich. The sandwich was good but overpriced. The chicken tasted like something that was frozen and reheated. We were also charged an extra $5 each to substitute fries for a baked potato but nothing was communicated to us until the bill came. Overall, prices were too high for food that was so so $50 for 2 people).
Good food. Good location and service. Great lunch option when in town in the historic Desoto House Hotel.
