Kroger Bakery - Gallatin

I visited today around 3 PM and encountered the rudest cashier I've ever met. It seems like it would be a challenge for her to smile or show any kindness.

Customer service at this Kroger location is no longer a priority for its management or employees.

When I went through register 13, I felt uncomfortable asking for help. I needed four quarters to buy a newspaper from an outside vending machine. So, I approached the customer service desk, but it was busy, and I noticed the self-checkout attendant was free. I asked her if she could change a dollar for me, and her response shocked me. She said she could get fired for doing that! I told her I didn’t want her to lose her job over this, and she eventually agreed to help me just this once. She mentioned that people have been fired for giving out a cup of ice, which made me feel terrible. While I got my quarters, I couldn't shake off the feeling of being treated like a nuisance. I appreciate the honest feedback from employees and understand the challenges they face in retail, but I shouldn't leave the store feeling embarrassed or belittled. On a positive note, I do enjoy the deli and produce sections at this Kroger. However, I might start visiting the Super Kroger on the south side instead.

I want to personally thank the staff at Kroger Marketplace for taking my shopping cart full of groceries that I left just outside the bathroom today while I made use of the facility and put all of my groceries back on the shelf. I went to the service desk and the person there paged a manager who told him that my cartload had been put back on the shelves. I left without buying anything because I wasn’t about to spend another thirty minutes wandering the store finding all of the items on my list. Thanks for being totally inconsiderate and incompetent.

It's a good Kroger. I have had no problems with anything with except a roaster chicken I purchased couple days ago. I just baked it. 6 lbs. 20min per lb. even some extra to crisp the skin. Basted it with butter and that old bird was so damn tough the skin wouldn't pull off the the meat! Ya couldn't bite through that skin for fear of it snapping back from the tug! The wrapper said Roasting hen. but somewhere that bird must've identified gender to that of a rooster! Haha here we go! Well that old bird should have been boiled for fried rice! Well I'll get the meat hammer on it and salvage what I can. I'll buy pre cut next time. I don't trust that he she poultry. Nope
