I tried the Ard Bia mezze appetizer, followed by the kicherbsen and linsenkuchen, which came with roasted seeds, asparagus, and rainbow charcoal for the main course, along with embellished greens on the side. It was epic! We were graciously accommodated on our 30th anniversary, even without a reservation, and it turned out to be a night we will always remember—just perfect! The sun set over Galway Bay, casting a warm glow through the windows, while candles flickered around us, and our waiter attended to every detail with care. If you want to treat someone special to a memorable plant-based meal, this is the place to go. They require reservations for dinner, but not for breakfast or lunch. There’s plenty to explore in the area, and it’s fantastic! They do offer meat options as well—my wife enjoyed a delicious monkfish dish. Plus, the wine list is impressive.
I had a great experience at Abbes. The staff and kitchen were eager to provide me with fully vegan options from the menu or modify existing dishes. They specialize in vegan cuisine and prepared a delicious meal. I highly recommend it! However, I didn't give it a full five stars because I believe it would be beneficial to offer more sustainable vegan items on the menu.
