After a long day of traveling, we were greeted with a glass of lovely wine, a comforting bowl of warm soup, and a delicious chicken dish. The staff was incredibly polite and helpful. If you find yourself in Galway or Oranmore on a rainy day and are searching for a cozy place to enjoy dinner, look no further than Grain and Grill. Despite feeling tired and tempted to skip dinner, I am grateful that I decided to dine here. This experience will be remembered fondly, and we look forward to returning soon.
I enjoyed a pleasant lunch at the hotel, and I wanted to compliment Chef Mike. I had a delicious cauliflower and salad dish. Emma took great care of us, she was very friendly and made amazing coffee. Overall, a perfect 10/10 experience. Thank you to all the staff!
We had an abysmal dinner experience here. The only place in Ireland that we actually didn't feel welcome in the whole week we spent there. When this place says food served all day what they actually mean is that they will take all day to...serve you food and still get it wrong. The restaurant is staffed by inexperienced waiters and a manager who doesn't have a clue. There were tables occupied for dinner but they were setting up the others for the next day already and very obviously not bothered with the actual customers in at the time. We had a number of different waiters serving us which caused confusion, they even forgot one of the mains despite reading out and checking each one at order time. No apology, just an oh, we will get that soon Which turned out to be minutes later. In the end the desert menu and order took so long that we got up, paid at the counter and left before they actually turned up with the deserts we had ordered. They then also managed to mess the bill up just to top it off. Breakfast had different managers and different staff and seemed to work reasonably well.
Some food was nice, most I have written in my main hotel review. Some staff really good, some not. They kindly brought in options for our yo who suffers allergies and food intolerances.
We went for a family lunch on Sunday. This is definitely the place to be eating out value for money, clean, warm, lovely food, Ann and Tara were very helpful and we were very thankful for this as we had my wheelchair bound brother...with us. Also spacious inside, including car spaces, nice bar with big screens. Overall staff and hotel meets all requirements and not over priced like some hotels.
