Pizzeria Sommerau - Gams

Delicious food with a good piece of meat. We had to translate to google to read the menu and we thought we got a herbal cream sauce. It was seasoned with curry, but had a good taste. It seemed a... popular restaurant with alfresco Dinning.

The Sommerau is very well managed, very friendly service, good mix of local and Mediterranean kitchen. The owner is all around and looks that customers feel comfortable. the prices are very moderate and fit also to low budgets, even so a drink or a greating...from the kitchen comes all the time.

We drove in the three countries that drive your bike (via Liechtenstein, Austria and Switzerland) and stayed here for a late lunch. We were so hungry that we stopped at the first place we could find. We were warmly welcomed in the busy restaurants and showed a table, although we wet and wear cycling. We ordered soft drinks and a carving each. The food was good and it came with a huge part of chips. Although we were really hungry, we couldn't stop eating! Service was excellent and the foods reasonable value. We were very glad we stopped here.

Pizzas are pretty good, salad is not the best in town, but edible. You can definitely have a nice meal here, good tasting 'normal' food.

I visited Sommerau several times this summer and must say that the food and service was never disappointing, good standard at affordable prices. It is recommended to make a reservation as the place is always busy.
