It is rare to find a restaurant open past 8 in the small town of Haliburton.
On Friday afternoon, there were many men buying beer, indicating that beer was a popular choice. The food was decent and served in generous portions, but there were not many customers dining in at the restaurant.
We had too long of a nap after our long car ride into town and found our dinner options lacking on a Sunday evening as everything seems to close early-ish in this cute little town. We saw online that Moroni's had pizza and was still open so we ventured out. They do deliver but decided to go for a little drive. Considered just doing take out but decided to stay and eat in. The restaurant was clean and not busy when we arrived and we were seated by a friendly waitress-owner? We had chicken souvlaki and a pizza, which arrived hot and tasty and we enjoyed both. We didn't feel rushed or that we imposed showing up later on, which was very kind of them and appreciated.
-Visited on a weekend-I had BBQ 1/4 chicken dinner (chicken was good, but unfortunately the BBQ chicken was not cooked with the BBQ sauce, they just poured it on afterwards. Usually BBQ chicken, involves BBQing the chicken with the sauce on?-Greek salad was good.-Service was fast & friendly-Prices were reasonable
