Food was below average, service was average, came on a very slow day, walked from the parking lots, but was quickly directed by the waitress that it was not

We went to The Socialist Pig on the recommendation of our guide at Gananoque Kayaking, and, boy are we glad we did! Before walking in, we picked up a hip vibe from the old stone building and clever signage promising farm-to-table fare but had no expectation of the inventive, sophisticated dishes we were served. De-lish! I had a Best of Beirut combination of curried chicken, pickled vegetables and green rice/quinoa in a bowl with toasted pita bread, while my husband and son opted for barbecued pork dishes. My son had a pulled-pork burrito with the same picked vegetables and green rice/quinoa of my meal. My husband had the Pig Mac that combined pulled-pork with a deep-fried patty of Mac and cheese. Don't ask me how the Socialist Pig packed that with flavor, but it did. Homemade lemonade and aromatic coffee rounded out our meal. We will definitely go back if we're ever in Ganonoque again

Great food but the place was dirty due to shortage on staff. They were overwhelmed and it took almost an hour to get our food.

Premier café après le pont, il est ouvert tôt et sert des petits déjeuners dès 9h. Joli comptoir fait de livres empilés et accueil sympathique.
