I had a delicious hot soup with a fluffy dumpling, and we also tried the burger with grey fries, chicken fingers with fries, and the steak sandwich with fries. Our server was very friendly, and our food was served hot, so we have nothing but compliments. I would definitely eat here again.
I recently visited the restaurant Goose and I do not plan on returning anytime soon. We were seated at our table and noticed that people who arrived after us were served their food before us. When I mentioned this to a woman, our food suddenly appeared. Unfortunately, my wife's soup was served ice cold, and the waitress had to take it back twice to heat it up. Nearby diners also had to send back their cold soup. It was not a busy night, so the delays and cold dishes were difficult to understand.
Will not be back to this big stop if someone paid me $100,000 to eat here. Rude server that came out of the kitchen, so obviously had no idea what was going on, and looked at me and said to her coworker who tried...assist me to "so she just walked in front of these people and wants a table first?!” when I just asked if we were waiting to sit or choose a clean table. first of all, not how to treat people. If there was a problem, I would have said that the “people I’ve got” would have. but they wouldn't know, they knew I was there first so they didn't have any problems. then I tell her very strict that I was actually “here first,” I thought the door was an older one who needed help, but I don’t care who sits first, I won’t cause a scene. then she supported and said, “I didn’t know that I asked for it!” no, they are rude to a kind of strange energy journey, and that’s not how they ask customers. you took a shot and embarrassed me. they did not know that they should not open their mouth, especially their customers. it was also embarrassing to say them, it's okay, I was here first. learn how to treat people better because they literally ruined my day, and my appetit. thanks, lukewarm.
Ever since the company Couchetard pushed out the elderly woman who owned the goose restaurant, food quality has decreased. Couchetard thought it would be smart to increase waiting times so customers can enjoy the full experienced of dining at a truck stop. They also increased...packaged/frozen foods and decreased what is actually homemade. The food quality has decreased dramatically since 2017 and the staff are not nearly so friendly or competent as the old staff were. I think there must be a high turnover rate here since Couchetard forced out the small business owner.
Stopped to have a late lunch on a wed afternoon. One other couple in restaurant.Young server gave us menus to say another lady would be right with us. 10 min. Later as we watched 2 employees hunched over the counter dealing with papers we...still had no drinks ordered or anyone else approach us. We got up left still didn't get acknowledged. A simple I will be right with you would have helped. Your on the main highway most people are pressed for travel time. Please acknowledge the customer...it can go along way.
