Ward's Garden Center Cafe - Garden City

It’s a bit unusual, but quite enjoyable. This place combines a garden center, pet store, and café. The staff are friendly, the portion sizes are generous, and the prices are affordable. Plus, it's very accessible for individuals with mobility challenges.

Here's my review: I wasn't able to give a glowing review based on the food I received. I ordered the country fried steak and was quite disappointed; I expected it to be homemade but it turned out to be frozen and more of an institutional quality than what I’m used to. I won’t be ordering the country fried steak again, but I plan to try the breakfast next time. On a positive note, the atmosphere was great and the service was excellent. Given the price for the country fried steak, I really expected something handmade, especially since it was a special. I’m curious what the regular price would be.

What a great spot to bring kids—they absolutely love seeing all the animals! It's also a fantastic place to grab lunch. They have a wide variety of amazing sandwiches, and every one I've tasted has been delicious! Plus, you can't go wrong with their sweet potato fries and delicious ice cream!

Nice café; quality breakfast-reasonably priced, and excellent service

I know i travel, not much into gardening.... this place is amazing! Sunday lunch at the Cafe is the best in all of SW Kansas. They also have an old fashion ice cream counter and homemade sweets. The Garden Center is amazing with gifts, plants and enough out back to tackle any landscaping project. Bulk materials as well. You cannot find a better place anywhere. Come on out
