I felt my food could have been seasoned better but with the sauce it tasted very good. Now to my issue. The service we had reservations and we showed up early and it took forever at least 10 minutes to even ask us how many in our party. By the way the place for what I could see was empty. Once we were sitted we asked what was in the seafood chowder because I have algeries and had to make sure there was not something in the soup that would make me sick, the waitress, by the way she was nice, didn't know because she was told to say all kinds of seafood. We had to ask her to ask the chef. Which she did and we found out I couldn't have the soup, which was fine. By the way my family said it was good and they are picky eaters. On to the next it seem to us that she was the only server plus their was a bartender those were the only two we saw and that was rare. It took the waitress either 47 minutes or 57 minutes to take are order. Not sure I only learned this after our meal was done and we were leaving. So this is getting ling enough would we go again probably not. The food was good but service is also very important and Basil's just didn't make the grade
We've been dining at Basil's for over 25 years. This is easily one of Atlanta's best. We had special attention this time from the owner, who's personality is a big as the portions served. This place always delivers, never disappoints and make each visit more memorable than the last.
The burgers are great and the other sandwiches are just as good. The staff is top notch and I can not say enough about it.
Server was fantastic! Food is generic and the menu could use an upgrade for choices. Its one of those meals you have to push through if you're tired, had a long day and just need something to eat.
We went into this with an open mind, Thanksgiving dinner, at a hotel restaurant, they should be prepared right? NOPE. not only did they not have our open table reservation (their receptionist had a sheet of paper and no knowledge of their online reservations) Finally who seemed like a manager sat us and another couple... well there was that, no menu, no water, nothing, and the waitress said she was going to bring us menus. 10 mins go by, 15, 20, I finally got up and got them myself. Then after a half hour she brought ONE menu for the table of 4. Still no water or anything. I walked around the restaurant and talked to someone finally, it was understaffed, people called out, and they had big groups (duh reserve somewhere for thanksgiving) when we saw the groups start to send food back to the kitchen, Well that was the last draw, after a total of 90 mins from arriving to the point of no return, we walked out, find another reservation on OT, and got in there and was eating in 15 mins from when we left. PLUS HOLIDAY DRINKS.. I really was looking forward to trying Basils out, but it seems they were not ready for the holidays
