I order the hot pot vua lẩu ốc and find it extremely plain. The clams, snails, and others are not fresh. They seem to be the kind of you can find in a frozen bags in the super market, which have no shell. They taste very plain and soft. On the other hand, their fried rice dishes taste no different. They only add in more or less ingredients to make it look different. I would suggest a huge improvement on the cooking skill for those dishes.
Despite all the negative reviews. We decided to come for lunch last Saturday. The foods in my opinion were the best-much much better than Oc Lâu. We love it so much so we decided to order here again but this time it was for to go. The service was amazing. The lady owner and the waiter were very attentive. Love the decorations, Foods and service. We will be back
I got the back tuoc nuong sa te. I was craving octopus, so I got it despite knowing it was not worth it for the price. I don't mind if the food is good. Yet it was very salty. I'm not sure whether I suppose to eat it alone as an appetizer or I should eat it with rice. I really wanted to like it. The sauce is good tho.
Sooo good i'm obsessed! everything i got here was so delicious and i'll definitely be coming back!!
The prices seem reasonable but if you look carefully at the portion, it is not worth it. Razor shells is an example. They cut them in half so the dish look full but actually not many of them. Oysters come with 5 flavors are ridiculous. I couldn't taste the oysters at all. They are so skinny/small taste stale. All I see is mayonnaise sauces. For escargots Hotpot, only the soup taste good, 95% escargots are frozen taste terrible. I am a visitor I have tried many Oc restaurants. For me, only Lau Oc #1 is good. I tried Lau Oc #2 they are not good as #1 but they are better than Vua Oc.
