The presentation of their mochi is beautiful, but it is not cheap. For $20, you can purchase a nicely assorted box of mochi to give as a gift, but they only accept cash. They also prepare the mochi differently depending on whether it is a gift or for personal consumption. Some of my favorite flavors include Kiku, Sakura, Nadeshiko, and Strawberry. While Chikara may be pricier than other mochi shops, I believe it is worth it because their mochi is the chewiest I have ever had.
Absolutely delicious! As mentioned, bring cash! I highly recommend coming here for your mochi cravings as not only are you eating with your eyes, but the texture of the mochi is amazingly soft! The majority are filled with smooth red bean, but if you’re looking for a bit of extra flavor then I highly recommend the orange peel and peach which are filled with white. I ended up loving this place so much I needed to make another stop prior to my flight to get some for my family back home! Trust me, you will definitely want to make this place as a destination!
This place has some gorgeous mochi, and it tastes as good as it looks! It’s a bit pricey, but honestly, the quality of the mochi makes it worth it. Traditional mochi places are also pretty sparse, making these types of mochis quite rare.Overall, worth a visit for a yummy and cute treat!
The mochi here is amazing, with a variety of delicious flavors to choose from. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to try something new. I often bring a mixed box to share with my coworkers at work because they are like little bites of happiness.
The mochi at this restaurant is exceptionally well made and delicious. It's a must-visit for me every time I'm in LA.
