Char 1788 - Gardiner

Everything is new at tuthill, new cook, new menu, new owners. inconsistent eating in past, but no longer. always great service, beautiful in and out, and now very friendly barkeepers sean and patrick improve a care staff and management. it's really nice to have such a jewel here in gardiner.

We took the family to New Year's Day and they had lunch that met our youngest appetit and also ours. My wife and I come back and try a romantic date and something else on the menu.

That is the second year we were here for silvester. that was delicious. our waitress was wonderful. she was pleasant and helpful in choosing which dishes to order. we will go back in any case

The food and ambiente were both great. unfortunately it took an hour to get our food (and they were not particularly busy). they were very apologetic about it and gave us a free drink, but there was still a damper on the experience.

Hard to explain, but this place is just excellent. The service is simply the best the ownership must take a real interest in the workers, each is as pleasant as can be. Everything I've ever ordered is delicious portions are fair. Reservations will insure you a spot. Go early for a tasting. Dessert's are best with a cup of coffee, which is outstanding.
