The pierogi tasted great, and the caramelized onions really elevated the dish. We also had the spinach and cheese stuffed chicken breast, which we enjoyed three hours or more after it was picked up, and it still remained juicy. The breading had a lovely flavor. I didn’t try the salad, but it looked and smelled fresh. I did taste the dressing, and it was excellent—I'd be surprised if it wasn't homemade!
This is a welcoming Polish deli that offers a variety of delicious ready-to-eat dishes. If you're unfamiliar with the cuisine, the friendly staff will be more than happy to explain the items to you, especially if you don't speak or understand Polish. The prices are low, and the portion sizes are generous. It's a great place to find prepared foods at affordable prices. If you're a fan of sea bass, be sure to visit on Wednesday, as it's only available on that day!
I'm married to a man who is fully Polish, and I'm part Irish. We both enjoy potatoes and delicious food together. I absolutely adore the Golden Eagle, especially their pierogies and hot foods like candy and kielbasa (particularly the fresh kielbasa). When you step inside, the aroma is so enticing that you just want to eat everything. The only downside is finding parking to get into the store; my husband usually goes in while I drive around the block a couple of times to wait for him. But the food is definitely worth it—they really know how to cook!
I have been visiting this restaurant for many years, and while I’ve noticed a price increase, the recent hikes are quite excessive. In the past few months, the prices for hot lunch items have nearly doubled. I used to choose this place mainly because the food was decent and the prices were very reasonable. However, I am not willing to pay premium prices for food that isn’t top-notch. Additionally, I’ve noticed there aren’t as many options available, and the lunch crowd is less than half of what it used to be. Was the price increase really justified, Mrs. (rude) Golden Eagle?
We also had the spinach and cheese stuffed chicken breast, which we enjoyed about three hours after picking it up. Remarkably, the chicken stayed juicy, and the breading was flavorful and appealing. I didn't try the salad myself, but it looked and smelled fresh. I tasted the dressing, and it was excellent; I wouldn't be surprised if it was homemade. Overall, it was a truly delightful dining experience!
