La Cambusa - Garfield

Never had a bad item off the menu or a bad cocktail. La Cambusa never misses! They are my favorite hole in the wall. I don't know how it's not packed everyday. Sitting at the bar is my favorite. The bar is small so you never get lost by the bartender. At a table or bar the service is always great. the Fig martini and Espresso martini are my two favorite specialty cocktails. The calamari here is the BEST. Sautéed in cherry peppers, the little kick and grease gives it some life. I am so grateful they carry GLUTEN FREE PASTA! Yay! I usually don't go for veal but I shared the veal saltumbucca with my dad and it was so good I would get it again! Can't wait to return soon!

Had a wonderful time dining here with friends. I had the calamari for an appetizer. It was tender and had very little bread crumbs on it with a slightly spicy sauce. For dinner I had the pasta with sausage and broccoli rabe. It was a pretty large serving, enough to bring home and I thought it was perfectly cooked My friends had everything from veal to chicken to fish including the clams in white sauce for appetizers. They were all satisfied with their dinners Dessert was good too. Strawberries with cream. Sorry do not remember what it was called. Posted photos The waiter was prompt. They did not rush us and the chef came out to our table with a question to make sure he could substitute a pork chop with a pork loin because they ran out. 4 stars only because the ambiance is 50/50 with tv's at the bar. (Which is close to the tables). And a fire alarm went off while we were eating. But if you're not looking for a romantic evening it is fine. There is also outdoor dining (covered) when it's not too hot or cold out Will definitely return Came back this evening to be greeted by the manager or whatever is title is No Mask! You require everyone entering to wear a mask and the person seating everyone doesn't wear one? Not good
