I am a regular here and I absolutely love her constant offers and discounts. almost every week they have additional offers on every Monday and Wednesday! I'll go to the week at least. I'll stay here until I live here. the personal is especially at the point and real.
This place is not Starbucks, and that's a great thing! Flavorful coffee. Great selection of flavored coffee drinks with generous amounts of espresso shots. Flavor combos and selections you don't usually find in many shops. Friendly staff that were patient with me and my questions since I had never been here before. Will be headed back to probably try every one of the holiday/winter flavored drinks.
After receiving a very rude treatment from a Starbucks manager, I looked for other coffee shops and I found this place. The smoothies are phenomenally delicious. The seating is comfortable and the staff are extraordinarily friendly and courteous. My only problem is the regular espresso drinks, and especially chai tea latte which has no taste whatsoever, the only taste it has is pure sugar and not in a good way. Just sweet and no hint of spices and other flavors.
Great food and drinks. Main problem is food orders are too slow and it seems understaffed frequently. After having a political disagreement with that other place, my wife and I wanted to find a new place. We went in BIggby, and was greeted. The staff is friendly. The size of their coffee is a little larger than the other place, so the 80 cents extra is not outrageous. With the membership card, the prices even out eventually. Now, after you are acclimated to a coffee, a new place is different. So, expect this. The service for a frozen type of drink is a little bit slow to the norm. The choices of specialty drinks is good. I had the frozen mocha caramel, and my wife had the latte'. The taste of espresso is not as strong as the other place, but is still good.
I really wanted to like this place and find something other than Starbucks. I should’ve known better as soon as I saw the menu. A small cappuccino is 16oz? Um, no. I knew after the first sip it was basically coffee flavored hot milk. Not what a cappuccino is supposed to be. It was a latte at best. Had I not been in a hurry I would’ve gone back inside and asked for my money back, but I threw it away as soon as I found a trash can. A small size should be 8-12oz, medium 16-20oz, etc. And a cappuccino should be more foam than actual milk. I noticed a lot of sugary coffee flavored drinks on the menu, maybe those are delicious for those that like that type of drink, but I’m not trying to turn into a diabetic. I can’t call this a real coffee place. So above is my original posted review. Then the owner responded, and wow. I am appalled at the response! I've been in the customer service and hospitality industry my entire life and if I had spoken like that to a customer I probably would've been fired. But they're the owner so who's going to fire them? Anyway, let me start out by saying that you don't have to educate me. I'm WELL AWARE of what a cappuccino is and is not. My drink was not half foam/half steamed milk. It was a 16oz cup with two shots of espresso and probably 14 ounces of steamed milk. Go to any decent coffee shop and order a cappuccino and most of them only have one size available, 10 ounces max. That's how a cappuccino is supposed to be made. The ratio of espresso to milk is thrown way off when you use larger sizes like 16, 20, 24oz, etc. And, had I known a 10oz option was available (not on the menu I saw on the counter) then I would have ordered that. If you're telling me that my drink was made wrong, then maybe you need to educate and train your staff better. I'm all for supporting local, independently owned businesses (I'm a business owner myself) and I travel for work practically every week. I seek out the different local coffee shops, as well as locally owned restaurants and almost never visit chains if I can avoid it. As a local business owner, you should maybe treat the customer that leaves an honest review a little better. I will say, however, the girl at the counter that took my order was very pleasant and not at all anything like the owner (thankfully). Good day...
