Arrived at 1.30, after the crowd had thinned out. The staff were very friendly and helpful when asked. The food was tasty but the selection (and strangely the physical menu) were exactly the same as those found in a number of other cafes around Canberra. However the food came to the table quickly and there was lots of it.
Went to brunch on a Saturday morning. Nice and quiet. Coffee and food good. Nice indoor and outdoor tables.
Rude service by male waiter black short hair serving people on 15/11/21 around 12:40pm. Arrived at cafe- waited outside cafe to be seated outside. Waiter ignored me entirely at first as if I wasn’t there. When he finally got around to seating me he seemed displeased it wasn’t a bigger group/bigger order. I said where I’d like to sit- hardly anyone was there at the time. He said “No, you sit here”. He then proceeded to give me the worst spot in the entire restaurant- despite the fact that there were heaps ! pf seats available and the cafe was only at 25% capacity. The new seat was cramped- wedged in behind the entrance right next to people coming in/out. I said I would really prefer to sit in another seat. He did not try to accommodate my request in anyway. Just totally unhelpful and not uncaring of people’s experience at the cafe. His attitude was kinda snobby, belligerent and uncaring. Just thinking about himself with no thought to the customer. I left- another business can get customer’s money if this particular staff member wants to be unaccommodating and selfish. Your competitors are simply offering better service.
Oh Wow! just Wow! I was lucky enough to attend Little Garran a few times recently and boy oh boy I can’t wait to go back! Last visit I had the ‘Lamb Bowl’ and it was great. It’s not just the food that’s great, it’s really the staff that create the atmosphere. Next time you’re in the area be sure to give it a go! Thanks guys!
