The young woman working the register just needs to smile more. I don't think she likes her Job. I tipped her $5. Didn't crack from her sullen mood. I hope she gets happy. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

I was hungry and I wanted something different. So I decided to go to New York Plate in the (Miller area) of Gary, Indiana. The young Lady (Shawna) who served me was simply Delightful and very knowledgeable about the menu. There were so many great choices that it took me a minute or 5 to make my selection. The menu has lunch specials, dinner specials and the add on menu items. The ambiance is nice and quaint but very clean with comfort in mind. I finally ordered the teriyaki chicken sandwich with fries. The desert options are plentiful as well. The sandwich fries were good. I would definitely give it a shot.
