Contribuisci feedbackThis was my first time trying chopped brisket and I was disappointed. I couldn't even tell if it was beef or if it had been smoked. The meat lacked flavor and seasoning, and there were chunks of membrane and silverskin present. The color of the meat was gray and it was chewy and tough, leading me to believe it was possibly cooked in a pressure pot. Despite this, I will give Hillbilly's another try for their brisket in the future. On the bright side, my dogs will enjoy a good meal tonight and in the days to come. I have tried brisket from two different places now, but unfortunately, I was unable to post a picture. P.S., the ribs were enjoyable.
This restaurant serves the best BBQ in the area! The staff is welcoming and friendly. Just a reminder, they only accept cash and checks for payment.
I have always enjoyed dining at this restaurant since I was a young child. I have fond memories of coming here with my family for a meal after school or before a football game. It continues to be a wonderful place to dine at even now.
Never a bad meal. Cornerstone restaurant in Gastonia. Can get crowded, but expected. Friendly staff, great prices, and wonderful environment.
Service was good, but the food was not very good. I heard great things about this place and I’m utterly disappointed. Best way I can describe the ribs and pulled pork is just dry cooked meat. No flavor besides the basic sauces. I would not describe it as bbq. The slaw tasted old. The beans were actually fairly good.
