Le Banco - Gatineau-Ottawa Canada

I recently visited this restaurant for my bachelorette party, and I would advise against going there with a large group. They have a set menu for groups of 8 or more, but failed to inform us of this when we tried to make a reservation (which they do not accept on Saturdays), when we put our names down, or when we placed our order. It was only after we noticed other diners ordering items like poutine that were not on our menu that we inquired and were told why. Our salads took over 45 minutes to arrive, and the wait staff was extremely rude. They attempted to clear our plates before we had finished eating and seemed annoyed whenever we had a request. Additionally, they set our table for one less person, made no effort to rectify the mistake, and we had to pull in an extra chair ourselves. When it came time to pay, my bill had a different total (lower than the rest of my group) but listed all of the items I had ordered. The waiter brought a machine to adjust the bill, but returned it with double the original amount. When I questioned this and asked for the original price to be honored, he refused, claiming it was a set price and that the error was not his fault. Although the food was decent, the overall experience was not worth it, and I would not recommend this place to others nor return myself.

Usual bistro food. However, it's pretty decent for what it is. I enjoyed their poutine and the angus/pull pork burger. I would say, the service was very good and friendly.

Not a fancy menu but everything we had was excellent and the service by our waiter Roger was outstanding. Very reasonnable prices for the quality of the food.

She efficiently took care of our party of three and was a valuable asset to Banco Bistro. The food at this restaurant was excellent, but the service was lacking. I had to wait a long time to receive my dish, and our waiter, Denis, was quite rude. He even tried to demand a tip, which made me uncomfortable due to the long wait. I suspect he wouldn't have treated me this way if I were a man. Our group consisted of four women.
