Arome Seafood and Grill - Gatineau

I wish I could give a better review as upon walking in it seemed to have potential.

Arôme is so not worth the costWhen a vegetarian entree and a single glass of wine costs more than $50 with tax and gratuities, it better be amazing.

What a disappointment! From the Hilton, we expected far better. We do not mind paying extra (Baccara) if the quality justifies it. First, the wine that we ordered was out of stock;so was our second choice! Then for the food portion; we had a rack of lamb that was overcooked. the filet d'aloyau (T-Bone) was also overdone. My friend has a garlic allergy and they said that it was no problem but in fact all they did was replaced all vegetables with peas which he does not like. The beef tartare was okay but we have had far better elsewhere. The plating is basic. The mashed potatoes however were excellent. We have had better at Milestones for much cheaper. Really unfortunate because they have a great location.

Very expensive for the quality of food, my husband and friend both had beef at $69 which did not even include a salad. I had seafood which was average, expensive for the quality. We do not recommand it.
