They used cheap ingredients and cooked very casually. Horrible is the rice used for the thali we chose. Felt robbed after eating at this joint. Cleanliness is a big question. I did not know why I ended up being here. Good thing is the wall decals which will bring some smile on your face in this rather somber place.
This restaurant was right opposite my hotel but I didn't go there until late in my stay. Mistake! This is the sort of restaurant that is heavily patronised by locals suggesting good food and good value and the answer is yes on both counts. The name is subtitled with "Ethnic Bengali Restaurant" so the offerings are heavy on fish but there are also lots of other choices. Many of the local patrons were having talis of various types. I had a really good mutton curry but it was a hard choice because many menu items sounded so good and all the dishes going past looked appealing. The restaurant was one of the few eating places outside of the local hotels that seemed to be open late in the evening. The space is clean and modern and the service is efficient. Hunt this one out for lunch or dinner if you are staying in Paltan Bazar .
I visited this place twice and found food is excellent, specially Bengali dishes, Fish preparations are awesome.
Not much option in menu. cost is high. ambience of the hotel does not match with the menu they serve.
The food at O Maa Go was very good. The taste of the food was excellent and the price was very reasonable.
