Soeders Kaella - Gavle

After reading the reviews I had high expectations, but it did not really live up to the hype. It is fine, but almost pretend to be a much finer dining that it is. It was a god try to use local ingredients that almost hits the mark. The fried potatoes and bread is great. It could have potential. The service we got pulled down a little the grade.

Great quality seasonal ingredients, presented with care for every detail. Very friendly and helpfull staff, waitresses there are professional. Cosy local with well-adjusted lighting and music which does not distract you.

About a 10 minute walk from center of town. Excellent food but portions were not enough to fill me up.

A relatively new restaurant that focuses on organic, ecological and locally produced food. But they do it with a feel for food, for flavour and presentation. Everything I have tried there has been very tasty, from the soup at lunch to the three-course meals at dinner. They also concentrate on organic wines, and they have succeeded quite well in finding some good ones to go with the food. They had live music last I was there, a pianist that played just loud enough to hear but did not disturb our conversation. Top 3 in Gävle definitely. Top 2 even!

I had a great experience at this restaurant. The service was exceptional, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there.
