The Gawler Arms

We had a lunch reservation for ten people, but unfortunately, the service was quite poor. Three of us had already finished our meals before the rest of the group was even served. Despite there being five employees present, there was no one at the bar to take drink orders. To top it off, the servers started clearing our plates before we were finished, which was really disappointing.

We visited this restaurant twice recently for birthdays, and unfortunately, we had a disappointing experience both times. The service was poor; both meals were served over an hour late. We didn’t complain, but the staff member who assisted us was quite rude and made no effort to check on the status of our orders with the kitchen. The food was overcooked, which was surprising since this used to be a fantastic hotel. Now, it doesn’t even deserve a star rating. We won’t be returning, as there are better options with friendly and caring employees elsewhere. It felt like a waste of money.

Our large group of 17 had a fantastic experience at the restaurant. I highly recommend dining here! Rating: Food - 4/5, Service - 4/5, Atmosphere - 4/5.

Wonderful to see a pub offering such variety quality! The chicken asparagus dish was the best pub meal I've ever had!! Staff were friendly efficient. Can't wait to go back there! Thank you for a fab meal!!
