Neue Gehlberger Hütte

On the top of the snow head is this beautiful, rustic and spacious mountain hut with guest room and fireplace. In the warm season you can also sit outside. Regional dishes such as (natural) Thüringer Klöße or the Gehlberger Finkeböff are served, a juicy potato dish. Not to forget the very good Thüringer Blechkuchen! The holiday house also has a hiking hostel with three multi-bed rooms and a total of 19 beds. Rooms are simple and stylish with plenty of wood. A view tower is just a few meters from the holiday home. When you get up, you will be at a height of 1001 m and thus at the highest point Thuringia with a fabulous view over the Thuringian Forest. By the way, there is also the highest letter box in Thuringia. If you enter your hiking postcard, it will be provided with the special stamp of the city of Suhl, district Gehlberg and sent.
