The Lakehouse Inn Resort

I made a reservation for our 16th wedding anniversary at this restaurant. The front desk provided excellent customer service! I decided to pay extra for the Romantic getaway package. However, I was disappointed with the price I paid for the room and upgrade. The cake that was supposed to be homemade was actually store-bought. The wine glasses, which were supposed to have the restaurant's logo on them, were plain. Room #4 was quite underwhelming - it only had enough space for the bed, a chair, and a small table, with no room to put our belongings. Additionally, the thermostat was locked in a warm position. For the price we paid, we could have booked a suite at a chain hotel.

The room had a beautiful lake view, with a huge bathroom and excellent service, particularly at breakfast. Overall, it was the perfect little getaway. As for the food and drinks, we dined at the on-site Crossroads Grille. Sadly, my $53 ribeye was extremely disappointing, as it was overcooked and thin as a hockey puck. My wife's filet, however, was cooked perfectly. To make matters worse, we had a $50 voucher with our room stay that was not honored. We will not be returning to this restaurant.

Stayed in one of the cottages for a girls getaway. Cottage was very clean and the beds were super comfortable with lots of pillows. Complimentary delicious breakfast delivered in a picnic basket to your room each morning. Beautiful view of Lake Erie from the inn and multi-tiered patio areas. Staff were friendly and responsive. On site restaurant serving house made wines and locally sourced ingredients is pricey but worth it. Rooms: 5

We stayed at the Pilot's House and were impressed by the stunning views and the large in-room jetted tub. The room was clean and beautifully decorated. We ordered a wine lovers tray which was set up before our arrival, along with other snacks. We felt very comfortable during our stay. The highlight was the chef's table experience with Chef Randy, which was truly memorable. In the morning, we enjoyed a delicious, warm breakfast delivered to our room. We appreciated the Inn and restaurant's efforts to source food locally. Overall, we highly recommend this place for a quick and romantic getaway.
