Contribuisci feedbackGive you a tasty and a surprise in genf! easy my favorite top Italian restaurant outside italiens, olio design brings the freshest seasonal ingredients in light off-beat combinations together, with great success (on my request to trip advisor to add it to their lists). the menu is always fascinating, but frankly, I tend to leave it to the cook to choose: ask him to create an antipasto (meat, fish or vegetarian, or a mixture) and they can find cancer carpaccio and crunchy raw artichokes next to thin strips of calves. pastas are rich, but in small portions the large raviolis with various seasonal fillings are particularly delicious. many truffles around the meat, not overwhelming as much as complementary, and for dessert in any case ask for the orgeat (almondiaz) granita. weine from the list are expensive they often have good weeping opened through the glass that can give them a good tasting and food pairing. there is none of the ktsch or pomp connected with expensive Italian esswaren. the style is relaxed and comfortable, more like a trattoria designed to be part of their home. high cover let space for two screens play Italian films, still to leave space for the intimate talks. quiet and smiling service is attentive, but not invasive.
The restaurant and the bar are expensive...and this is the moment in which you enter olio design...a unique design and certainly something that you would not see in genf with an olive tree in the middle of the restaurant, the place is worth a visit. see something else offered to genfs typical.
Olio doesn't make a secret about being expensive. it's almost a ritual, the sharp breathing. it looks more like one of the many slightly bizarre upmarket bars of genf (one of them has no atmosphere) with a large, obviously fake olive tree in the middle. The service can be desperately slow, but eating is worth waiting: it really feels absolutely fresh. all very beautiful and very luvvie. they will love it either (food, club-lovers) or hate it (on the earth, tourist).
