Restaurant Pizzeria Italia - Genève

It is a nice place near Plainpalais. The quality of food could be better, as well as desserts. There are better pizza places in Geneva, but if you are near and want a wuick meal it is not bad neither. Staff is polite and quick. The restaurant sefves ordinary drinks like everywhere else. Desserts are mainly ice creams.

After my third visit to this charming place I decided to review it, although I always feel guilty to criticize a restaurant’s work online, specially that I know how taste is a matter of personal preferences and it varies from one person to another, I also know the amount of work that goes into each dish. Having that said, I really wanted this place to be good, since it has a lovely setting inside, a refreshing garden and a friendly staff; but that’s the thing, their Pizza’s are really average at best, but the dough is not bad. The fresh pasta taste good but the sauces lack taste (we tried 3 so far).

It's the best pizza I've eaten in Geneva! I haven't had the chance to taste the pasta yet but I will definitely go back!!! Very kind and welcoming staff and the price is more than fair, especially in Geneva.

The food is very good but the service is terrible. The staff doesn't acknowledge you when you come in, the pizzaiolo had to ask them to sit us as we had a reservation. Same at the end, we went to the counter to pay, and they just kept ignoring us, dressing their tables until the pizzaiolo asked them to give us our bill. In the end, we just left the money on a table and left. Nobody said goodbye to us

Deplorable service as possible, unacceptably slow for a midday service in the middle of the week. The room staff strives to avoid any eye contact. We had to camp in front of the pizza maker for many minutes before being seated, despite our reservation, to the exclamations of the waiter who complained that he did not have a table. Then wait again before they deign to bring us the menu, not to mention the delay before our order is finally ready. We spent over an hour and a half in the establishment, eating a plate of pasta and drinking a soda. The waitress offered us neither coffee nor dessert. Although the room had emptied in the meantime, it was impossible to put our hands on him to ask for the bill, we had to return to camp in front of the pizza chef and wait for the latter to cheat his colleagues before receiving our ticket. Once the latter was printed, and despite the fact that we immediately asked to pay by card, the waitress preferred to go to the other end of the restaurant to clear our table, even though the lunch service had ended in view of the hour and the fact that we were the last people still there. Luckily we had enough cash on us and exact change, so we ended up leaving the money on the counter and leaving without asking for our remainder. The food was good, hence the rating of 2. The service was well below zero.
