Martinsteinhiesli - Gengenbach

At the visit of the Black Forest region we wanted to have decent schinitzel. we stayed in gengenbach and I found this place when googling “Gengenbach schnitzel”. I do not understand why it is not listed higher; perhaps because of the distance to the city of about kilometers. it is a narrow road. When we arrived, we were surprised to see a full parking lot and had luck getting a table to share with locals. we went for the carvings, but on local recommendation I took the Rump-Steak. the carvings were great and the rumpsteak perfectly cooked. they serve the carving standard with sauce. it's not bad, but if they prefer it without asking them. recognizes the fast service and we could also pay quite quickly, so it was a tasteful and efficient meal for euro per person. beautiful mountain ambiance too. highly recommended

Every place we spoke to to go this restaurant as the recommended. we couldn't find a number to book a table, so we drove to the restaurant. it is from gengenbach on a back road in Mittelbach. the environment was wonderful. unfortunately the restaurant was closed for the holiday. If you go, let's know how it was.

Beautiful ambiente, brilliant steak, everything else well cooked and delicious. one of our favorites in this area.

This restaurant has a large outdoor area and a smaller area (if I could see) in the interior. one of the attractions of this restaurant is the location and beautiful view that are not visible from where we sat in the interior. the selection of food is... strong on sausage, salads and sweets. are large. the cutlet (scarved) we had ordered my adult daughter sensible, a child part was tender and well seasoned carvings are not always good, but that was excellent.

Well they don't speak english and you can't get to it without a car and a good map. Personally I hope to never see a tourist here for fear of spoiling what makes this place (and the entire area so special).
