Fritz - Gent

The waffles are incredibly fluffy and the pancakes are also exceptional. The restaurant is located on a quaint little street near the main squares, adding to its charm.

The waffle in Ghent was enjoyable, but not the best.

We had a delicious breakfast with a wide variety of choices! Additionally, the owners were lovely and we highly recommend this restaurant!

Fritz made waffles from Brussels and not the Liège waffles. The difference is important. The waffle of Brussels is similar to the waffle found in France: rectangular, very light and crispy. The corgeoise waffle is smaller and vaguely round, more compact (heavy for some), crispy outside and melting inside and sweeter. Don't be disappointed with the formula even if it's amazing to find Brussels waffle in the Flemish country. That said, Fritz made an excellent waffle of Brussels. Light and crispy. I especially recommend Fritz, chocolate, vanilla ice cream and Chantilly cream. Classic but terrible. Tea and coffee are correct but without more, but are welcome with the waffle. As for the frame, we have probably done better in terms of modernity or comfort, but given the limited size of the room, we cannot do much better and it is not the most important.

An excellent tea room, I tasted a waffle with a hot chocolate. The ingredients are of quality and welcoming staff. Attention, however, they do not take the bank card!
