Gentioux is a beautiful village, close to which we have a place for more than 20 years. This has always been a source of frustration that we had to travel a certain distance to get a decent meal, especially in the evening. All this has changed with the arrival of Camille, Gerrit and their team, and the efforts they have made to make this local restaurant/bar a prosperous, welcoming and absolutely magnificent place to visit, overlooking the famous Monument to the Peaceful Deaths of Gentioux. The fact that the restaurant is so busy shows its superb quality and the reservation is highly recommended. We visited long-time local friends and enjoyed a range of half a dozen entries, dishes and desserts. All were excellent, just like the selection of aperitives and well-choiced wines. Prices are correct, portions are copied and attention to detail is very impressive. We spent a night without fault. We are delighted with this addition to our itinerary and hope to be frequent visitors in the coming years. Cursed is war, but blessed is the Dove. It is always been a source of frustration that we have had to travel some distance to get a decent meal, particularly of an evening. All that has changed with the arrival of Camille, Gerrit and their team, and the effort they have put in to making this local restaurant/bar a thriving, welcoming and thoroughly splendid place to visit, overlooking Gentioux’s famous pacifist Monument aux Morts. That the restaurant is so busy is testimony to its superb quality, and booking is definitely advised. If you pass in the Vassivière area, I strongly recommend you to stop the dove (Gentioux . It is an extra, warm, welcoming place where the dishes are excellent. Bravo to Belgian owners:
It was a great surprise to discover this bistro bar in Creuse. The appetizer like mojito beer is really special but it's a nice discovery. The meals are very hearty and really very good. Their homemade chocolate marrow is really a gustative explosion mixing hot and cold. A sober wedding very well held. The waitress are very cute
Lunch, daily menu, starter main course dessert coffee €15. Cheaper than McDonald's. Vegetables and seasonal dish, hearty and excellent in taste. Bravo to the chef and bravo to the service. I hope to come back more often Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €10–20
