Agua - George Town

I had a wonderful lunch at Agua. The menu has been updated to include several vegan options, such as a burger and salad. The salad I ordered (I can't recall the exact name, but it had hummus, pita, and other delicious ingredients) was fantastic. The service was outstanding, the location was stunning, and the cocktails were delicious. Though it is a bit pricier than other restaurants, its upscale atmosphere sets it apart. I would appreciate more clearly labeled vegan options on the menu, but the staff was very knowledgeable. The focaccia served after we ordered was also delicious.

This was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had at a restaurant.

I was really looking forward to trying the jackfruit taco, but unfortunately it is no longer on the menu. However, the restaurant prepared a special variation of the garnelen saltado just for me.

We ate at agua when they were in another place in 2016 and I was so impressed that there was a separate vegan menu. they changed this and they now have a separate vegetarian menu with some vegan options (not almost as impressive for me as three years ago the vegan options are interesting, for example a vegan ceviche. they wanted to tell me that they used a common frittier, so that all that is fried would fried in the same oil as non-vegan food. I ordered the vegan salado. it was good, but not fantastic, but quite expensive. the waiting staff was very nice and attentive. if they wish a very nice vegan meal in a raised restaurant, this is a good place. If they only look for a good vegan meal, but do not need the elevated atmosphere and price, I would recommend vivo.

Separate vegetarian menu but very little vegan. Got the sweet potato noodle saltado which was a rice noodle a few veggies and I’m sure it contained butter
