Skeetas Restaurant Bar Cafe - Geraldton

Food was slow to come out, waitresses (and there were plenty of them), we're inattentive, uninterested and slow. You had to fight to get their attention. I noticed this was a problem with other diners too. Although my glass was empty, about 3 different waitresses walked past my table and didn't ask if I wanted a drink. Same withe table next to me. As all the waitresses were like this, this is a management issue. Unless you're sitting next to balcony (you get the views over harbour), the rest of the dining room is poorly laid out, with too many tables.The couple on the table behind me kept knocking the back of my chair. The dining room itself lacked charm and character. Grey is the predominant colour with no real attempt to add any art or beauty. Waitresses very young and lovely, but absolutely no idea about the food or drinks menu. The drinks I can understand because of their age, but they could not tell us anything at all about the food simple queries. A little training will go a long way, and perhaps let them see and eat the food they are taking orders for. The restaurant overall did not live up to expectations. Food: 3

I booked a dinner for a large group. The communication was excellent and online booking made it easy. The staff were friendly and accommodating and food and drinks arrived at reasonable times. The food was average. The service was lovely, however English was the second language for our waitress, so communication was difficult, but she did her best. We had a beautiful, front row view of the marina. Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
