The Geraldton Hotel

We were surprised that the restaurant was practically empty when we arrived at with a footy match going on. Since, it was the school holidays, a lot of places were booked out and here it was empty that we thought the food must not...be good. Hence, to our utmost surprise all the steaks; scotch, porterhouse and even the rump were good and cooked perfectly medium rare. The sauces were only OK though. Great chips too and very fresh salads. Could do with more dressing on the salad. We also had the chicken parmigiana which was a huge serve; crisp on the outside and yet still moist inside. Great friendly service by the young lady there too.

This is a great rural hotel. Spacious rooms that are comfortable, a roof top bar, and a bar restaurant with an awesome menu and wine list. Highly recommended.

Had dinner in the beer garden area, access was a little tricky as side door facing Lester St was closed so had to park in Fitzgerald St, when it came to leaving was a bit confusing Anyway party of adults all ordered different meals,...all arrived in good time and nicely presented. Everyone enjoyed and there was plenty on plate. I had a steak burger, meat was a little tough. My daughter had the surf and turf, her steak too was a little tough but the prawns were good size and cooked perfect in a yummy sauce.

One of the few places that was open during NY. Bar staff excellent and friendly. Staff at food area not too cluey, didn’t know what specials they had advertised on the web, claiming new chef and new menu! Food was ok but served on melamine...plates, interesting.

We took the family plus another family as it was recommended..looking forward to some pub grub...we ordered...after min we are thinking ok this is taking a while...an hour passes we are thinking this is taking more than.a while wheres our meal....after an hour we go ask where our meal is...they tell us will be another to the?? .nearly hours for a meal....we go ask for a refund...no apology just given the explanation that everyone ordered at the same time....um dont think so....wasn't overly busy...walked out went to kfc instead...we will not be back
