Exceptional service, lovely atmosphere, delicious food!
I went here with my family (four in total for my birthday dinner. We came right at 6pm, which is when the dining room closes. We didn't realize until we walked in, but they were very nice and let us have dinner (sorry if we were a bother! The food was very good: I got the falafel steamed pita, I really enjoyed it and it tasted fresh. Really the only complaint about the food I have was the spicy humus was just regular humus with jalapeños and salsa on top. Though I would like to point out that the soda (Coke Diet was very flat and watery, and just not enjoyable at all. Other than that, everyone enjoyed the food. However, it was very expensive at $97 (w/ tip for just 4 people, and my mom only got an appetizer of pita and humus. The waitress was very nice, and no one else was there so it was quiet since there aren't any tv's, though for a place with this type of environment it's not a big deal. If we could do portions of stars, I'd give Cafe Med a 3.75 review
I bought a gyro plate with seasoned rice and side salad. The meat tasted good but it was not enough meat. Very skimpy, non-seasoned rice. The salad was bigger than the entree. I've been trying to find a Mediterranean restaurant in Memphis that is as good and plentiful as the ones in Nashville and Murfreesboro. Haven't found it yet!
Food is fantastic service is great. We will be back.
