After moving to another room, we found that it didn't smell much better, and the carpet was dirty and sticky. The sheets were also questionable, looking and smelling unclean, and they were too small for the bed. The hotel does not offer king-size beds, so the full-size bed and sagging mattress felt cramped for two people. Additionally, the air conditioner was ineffective, only blowing out warm, musty air. There was no shampoo provided, as the dispenser was empty, and the towels also had a musty smell. We paid over $200 for one night, which did not include any complimentary breakfast. A simple breakfast of scrambled eggs and a waffle cost us over $30 for two people.
I had a rather disappointing experience at this HGI. When we first checked into our room, the bathroom was flooded, necessitating a switch to another one. Unfortunately, this second room was on a lower floor where we were kept awake by noisy sports teams in the hallway until well after midnight. The sheets on the bed were too small, barely covering the mattress, as they seemed to be full-size sheets on a queen bed. Additionally, the bulk shampoo in the shower was completely empty, which was frustrating. The thermostat in our room was almost completely ineffective; our only way to stop it from blowing hot air was to turn it off entirely. Lastly, after paying $200 a night to share a queen bed, I was surprised to find out the next morning that no breakfast options were included. Overall, it was not a great stay.
The staff at the Hilton Garden Inn Gettysburg was incredibly helpful. They offer a meeting room suitable for large groups, making it a great venue for gatherings. The on-site restaurant features a full bar, perfect for enjoying a nice snack before bedtime or before heading out for the evening. The manager on duty was also very accommodating. And I can't forget to mention that there’s a pool and a fitness center available if you want to stay active while traveling.
Stayed here for my son's Gettysburg College baseball camp. The hotel is located just outside of town. The hotel is clean, the rooms and bathroom are standard for this level of hotel. They have a bar in the lobby, the staff are friendly. There was ample parking but I didn't see any ev spots. The rate is in line with the level of hotel. Amenities are fine but not great. Did I mention the hotel was clean? I would absolutely stay here again.
Highly recommend the rooms were spacious clean. Great location and history of the property staff was great pool and hot tub were very relaxing will stay again on next trip.Rooms: 5/5
