It was after 6:30 pm already. I told her that was fine and that I’d wait at a table and have drinks. She sent me back to the bar. I got to the bar and asked to sit at a side table and was again snapped at by an another rude and nasty bar maid who was cleaning tables. The place is cheesy and has no class at all. Needless to say, I’ll never go back and will never recommend this place to anyone. As I was in my car, I noticed two other parties walk in and come right out. I should have known something was not right but thought I’d take my chances. Overrated overpriced dump. In response to you. Your place was only 25% or less occupied. My 85 year old Mother and I waited and no one acknowledged us. When I left your place, I immediately got on my phone and got into my friend Olivia’s immediately because they know me quite well. By the way, my bill for Mommy and me was $132 and change. I tipped my waitress $40.00 and my 2 hour stay there was delightful because the other servers know us and treat us like royalty. Your staff is nasty and rude. Not one smiled at us nor was anyone pleasant. Even the old lady who was carrying glassware from the bar made us feel as if we were inconveniencing her. I will never come back. The only reason I came to your place first is because I thought Olivia and her family were still on vacation in Greece.
My husband and I ate there about a month ago. It was our second time eating there. I had the steak and it was cooked to perfection. My husband had the fish and chips and it was fantastic also. We had the spring rolls for an appetizer and we would definitely order those again. The service was spot on. We are going back to Gettysburg in early October and taking my parents who are from the state of Indiana and this is the first restaurant we will be taking them to.
This restaurant excels at farm fresh and unusual fair. If you like excellent and exotic you must make it a point to go. I had ostrich done to perfection with juicy local green beans. The rating on google must be people looking for blasé fair.Food: 5/5
Something different and was pleased, Sue was fantastic and food was good, drinks were great, local Pennsylvania tequila, who knew, very tasty. We enjoyed our dinner!Food: 4/5
Our server was very nice and attentive. The food however, was awful. We were there on July 25 at 7:00 pm.I had the crab cake. It was a soggy, mushy mess. The rice pilaf was old, dried out and hard. It also had a peculiar taste. The Brussels sprouts were drowning in the balsamic sauce making it inedible. That was just my dish. I don’t think I need to go into each individual selection. You get the idea.
