Let me begin by saying that this is not the place to go if you're in a hurry. And why would you want to be rushed when tasting some of the best asian food there is in Europe? We had ordered some steamed dumplings and a Thom Yum soup as starters and it was with the first sip of the soup that we understood that this was going to be an epic meal. Asian ingredients are hard to come by in France and Plaisir d'Asie only uses the freshest. The restaurant manager's wife is the magician behind the meals. Preparing everything from scratch with fresh ingredients in the kitchen. The only other Thai green Curry I've ever tasted that compares to the one that I had here is one I had in Bangkok in a local restaurant recommended as one of the best for curries in the city. The French tend to be extremely cautious when it comes to spicy food which implies that the curries in France are generally a degree or two cooler than they would be in Asia. When I asked for the spiciest of their Thai Curries the owner recommended that I order the red curry and that he would ask the chef to add fresh red chillies. I'm not one for burning intestines and this curry was the perfect balance of freshly flavourful and warm. My man's Pad Thai was also ridiculously flavourful.I could go on about the meal we had for pages but the just of it is that if you're not in a hurry and if you're prepared to have some of the best asian food of your life, then this restaurant is well worth the wait. Bon appetit!
The food is really good though not something exceptional. The owner is polite but his staff are slow and you can receive something that was ordered by another table ..
We went regularly to this restaurant but it changed. The card is not the same. the waiting time long enough and the fat food (highly oily jumped foods). We still loved the nems and other crunches.
Very good quality, fresh products, friendly welcome. A good table. the restaurant is in an industrial area so better to eat inside because in a crossroads. we come often is always satisfied.
