Bought a chocoladekoek and a cinnamon roll. Both were OK, bit small though. Service was reserved friendly, and very rush rush. Next! Updated from previous review on 2022 10 11
… with a passionate owner/baker. Mouthwatering how he speaks about his products and methods. Selection of great vegan pastry.
Went for a little snack in the afternoon and a lot was already sold out, but half of the remaining items were vegan. Bought an appelflap and it had a nice crunchy bite
Not like ~Woah~ but good, the Kreuzaints have the same taste and texture as what I remember normal Kreuzaints. The brownies are beautiful and not dry. The place also has bread I suspect is vegan. They have also offered several non- vegan things, but it is all clearly marked. If you are looking for a place to breakfast that is not a full breakfast place, this is definitely worth considering. The opening hours on happy cow vs on Google Maps vs in reality are not completely matched (I think it opens earlier than what is shown here), but by what I have seen from Belgian companies, which days they open, is completely random, so it could change. You'll probably be open.
The restaurant is good, although not exceptional. The croissants taste the same as regular ones and have a good texture. The brownies are delicious and moist. They also offer bread that may be vegan. Non-vegan options are clearly labeled. The restaurant is a good choice for breakfast, although it is not a full breakfast place. The opening hours may differ from what is listed on Google Maps, but this seems to be common for Belgian businesses. Overall, the restaurant is worth a visit.
