Irish Pub - Gießen

Apparently this was a good pub in the past and well run. It is definitely missing the atmosphere of an Irish Pub. The staff are friendly however they miss that charm of the Irish. I noticed a previous comment was that is was the best Irish pub in Giessen...however it is the only Irish pub in Giessen. Hmmmm... The owner/management can do much better. In no rush to go back unless there is a special band playing...

What a fun place and the Kilkenny flows like wine with great live Irish music and some friendly bartenders this is a great place to enjoy a weekend night out

When I was invited to the Irish Pub, I had some expectations, because during my visits to the UK, I had the opportunity to go into more pubs in England but also in Scotland and Wales. The interior of Irish Pub in Giessen, looks like a pub in Wales. The atmosphere, music, dishes and serving are like a common restaurant German. Music a little bit loud and inappropriate to dinner right rather in a club or disco. Common dishes and neutral, which you can order from anywhere in Europe, nothing specific. A suitable local for young people. I will remain loyal to the restaurant Alt Giessen.

How about everything in the world that stars are distributed? I'll let them know what the store wants and is! Here basically everything meets and a special wardrobe does not need it. Regularly there is live music, karaoke evenings and the vulture knows what not all. I'm too rare to see a pattern! But so far it has always been very professional. Especially the girl at the reception has earned 5 stars. She makes it 100 times better than most guys! The ambience is very simple and from quiet rather rocky or rustic. At least I'm looking for the Irish. I don't think so. But it could be that hard rock called the store. It doesn't fit the music! What is remarkable is the whisky card. There are first-class drops for the connoisseur at international level. And this is 100% Irish and basically 5 stars almost alone. Also in metropolises you have to look for something similar for a long time. It is a pity that the staff with the partially sinfully expensive drops hardly knows. But is served in style. However, I always say without ice and with water in the extra glass. There was never anything to eat and the whisky was always served in style in the snifter. In short, Here you can always go in the evening and enjoy a good whisky in peace and loneliness, but also betray the wheat beer, listen to music, mix among people and make new friends. Five stars for Andi Pfälzer, the karaoke god, 2 stars discount for percussion drinks prices and the terrible location on the Asterweg! The store is cool, you just ask for entry for every little thing I think is often simply not justified! The bartenders are very nice and the drinks are okay, but for me there is nothing in the watered pub landscape...
